March 30, 2008 Hi Ho Hi Ho It's off to work we go.

This weekend was spent building more fence for the goats. We're no where near finished but we made a good start of it. Hopefully it won't rain all week like they are predicting so we can get some more done on it. Don't you guys like Mikey's purple bucket?? :o)

March 29, 2008 Child(ren) of the corn. LOL

I'm sure that this won't be quite as humorous for anyone but me. That movie just popped into my head when Alex was hacking down cornstalks today.

March 28, 2008 A fit?? Surely not. :o)

Here's Alex having a meltdown. We had such a good week, I guess we'll allow this one. LOL It'll be good later down the road to have pictures of something like this I'm sure of it. hehehehe He got even madder at me taking a picture of him.

March 27, 2008 Mikey and Mr. Hank

Here they are having an indepth discussion. Wonder what they are talking about??

March 25, 2008 Windy day and jealous dogs. :o)

Tonight at the barn the wind was whipping around quite fiercley and the babies were having trouble figting it. Here's a picture of Buttercup with her ears flapping in the wind. She looked like she was about to take flight. LOL

Nalla and Nakita informed me that they are quite jealous that they have not been included in the blog. ;o) So here are the 2 beasts.

March 24, 2008 Stick em' up

Alex loves his toy guns and knives. Here he is telling me I need to quit taking so many pictures of him. He's tired of smiling. LOL

March 23, 2008 The Easter Bunny!

Happy Easter everyone. We've been up since 7:30 this morning. Alex wouldn't sleep in anticipation of the bunny coming. He woke up last night at 11:00pm and spazzed out because his shades were down and how was the bunny going to get in his room with them down. Then at 4:00am this morning we were back up again. To go to the bathroom of course but also to see if the bunny had been here. I got him to lay back down until 7:30. Aunty Jo Jo came up and told us she had seen the bunny hopping down the driveway with his arms full of stuff. So we went outside to see what he'd left. I told him the bunny wouldn't come in the house if he wasn't asleep. :o)

So this morning before the sun ever completely came up on the horizon we were out hunting eggs and seeing what the bunny left. I'ts 9:30 now and I'm ready to go back to bed. LOL It's going to be a loooonnnnggg day.

March 22, 2008 Alex and Mr. Bear

This morning Alex got up and said his throat was sore. He loves to be babied when he doesn't feel well and he's milking this for all it's worth. LOL He asked for his "pills" and to be covered up on the couch with Mr. Bear. So, I gave him some Benadryl cause we think it's drainage from allergies and tucked him in on the couch.

March 20, 2008 Our new chart

We got Alex a dry-erase board for his room to keep track of his behavior here as well. We're trying to be consistent with what they are doing at school. Each day the number of fits or fights we have will determine his face and if he gets more smilies than anything else he will either get to get a toy back that he lost or get to do something fun of his choice. (with our options of course ;o). So far it is working well and we've had an excellent week. He managed to get his TV back and a sword from the circus and his Transformer helmet. I'm quite proud of him, I had assumed I'd have the week from you know where with Michael being gone.

March 19, 2008 Can you see me??

Tonight we worked on laundry. Alex is quite the big help except now I've lost him. Can you find Alex in this picture?

March 18, 2008 Man of the house!

While Daddy is in Alabama, Alex has taken over the role of man of the house. Here you see him working out with his punching bag so he'll be ready for anything. :o)

March 17, 2008 Maggie came over!

Tonight Alex's friend Maggie came over to visit with him and play with the baby goats. They were so cute to watch with them. The babies let them pick them up and carry them around. Alex and Maggie loved it. She didn't want to go home :o) so I had to promise her that she could come back and play with them another night.

This was mine and Alex's first day without Daddy here. It's been different. We've talked to him on the phone and whatnot, but it's very different not having him here. Alex keeps saying that "Daddy got out of town!" LOL He also saw a house decorated for Easter today and kept mumbling something in the back of the car. I finally figured out he was saying "shame on you Easter Bunny". I asked him what he meant by that and he told me shame on the Easter Bunny for not laying eggs in our yard. LOL I almost wrecked the hoopty car. LOL So tonight we ran to Wally World and bought some Easter decorations and a dry erase board to keep track of his behavior at home and let him earn rewards or punishment here just like at school. He did have a better day at school was the word from the teacher. Let's just hope it continues through the week.

March 16, 2008 Babies day out!

Today we let the babies out of the barn for the first time. They had a blast and so did Alex chasing them all over. It was so funny to watch them hopping and jumping around everywhere. It's just like watching a bunch of puppies. The Mom's fought with each other a bit at first trying to re-establish their pecking order. The herd "queen" has been up in the barn for 2 weeks.

On another note Mikey left for Alabama tonight to work for the week. It'll be the first time he's went away without us. :o( He'll be back on Friday though. We'll miss him while he's gone.

March 15, 2008 A new play area for Alex. :o)

I know I know. I skipped Thursday and Friday but we really just needed to put last week to bed. LOL Today we worked on putting up a kennel area for the billies to play in. Looks like it will work well for Alex too. :o) We spent much of the day cleaning out the stalls in the barn and doing general pick up work. Dad came down and mucked out the stall with us. Thanks Dad!! We are trying to get things in order to let the babies out tomorrow. Hopefully the weather will be better.

March 12, 2008 I love Daylight Savings Time

Took this at 8:30pm. :o) I'll have to post the last 2 days pics later. I keep getting an error message.

March 11, 2008 Better day

Today we still had a straight face but Ms. H said he did better. So for punishment he got to run the vaccuum. Not sure if it was a punishment for him or not, he seemed to enjoy it. He'll learn once he gets older but for now, I'll use him. :o) Michael and Alex also had an indepth game of checkers. LOL For some reason Alex loves to play and it does help with his focusing on one thing and not being all over the place.

March 10, 2008 :o|

No picture for today. Sorry everyone. Alex can't be good long enough to warant getting the camera out. Another day at school of not listening, talking back you name it. Then last night we went down to take care of the goats and he was playing with one of them. All well and good, but he didn't think anyone was watching him. I was in the next stall playing with the other set of twins and peeking at him through the wall. He was watching Michael like a hawk and holding one of the babies. I couldn't figure out what he was doing, next thing I know he just opened his arms and dropped the baby like a box of rocks. She's fine, thank goodness, but good grief!! I don't know what is going on in his little mind. So not a good day. Hopefull tomorrow will be better and I can post a pic.

March 9, 2008 A snowman!

Today the snow had melted enough that it stuck together enough for us to build a snowman. We had a blast gathering up things for eyes, nose and arms. After dinner we are going back out and play on the sled somemore.

March 8, 2008 Fun in the snow!

Today after the snow finally stopped we were able to get out and play. Alex had a ball. We hooked up the innertube behind the 4wheeler and drug him all over the place. Unfortunately it was too cold for him to stay out for very long at a time. When we put him to bed last night he was out practically before I got out the door. I'm sure tomorrow will be another big day!

March7, 2008 SNOW!!!!!!!!!

Snow Snow and more Snow. Alex is in hyperdrive, the wind is hawking around at about 40MPH and he want's to ride the tube. Here he is giving it a go. LOL We only let him try 1 time since the temp was so cold last night. Hopefully he'll get his fill of snow the rest of the weekend.

March 6, 2008 A GREAT day!!

Today Alex had a REALLY great day to quote his teacher. He should have considering the amount of lecturing and whatnot that he got from the time we got home yesterday until I dropped him off at school this morning. I guess something finally soaked in. Here's a pic of him and my co-workers son. We have a regular daycare going on in the afternoons at work. Both our husbands have been put to dayshift for aprox. a month and our lives are turned upsidedown. :o)

Then, we get home this afternoon only to find out that Lily has had twins!! They are so cute and they have long ears and are girls so we get to keep them too. Lily is being such a good Mommy taking care of her babies. So far all are doing well. We've got them tucked away in a stall in the barn with heat lamps. Right now we've got more goats in the barn than in the pasture.

March 5, 2008 A picture is worth a 1000 words.

I think this speaks for itself and my mood.

March 4, 2008 Surprise!

This morning I went to the barn around 6:30 or so only to find we had another baby. A little boy this time very cute but very unexpected as we thought we had a couple more weeks. So I was late to work trying to get everyone situated and fighting the mess in the barn. Mom and baby are fine although Mom is not producing milk right now so we are bottle feeding. Couldn't ask for better weather to be running back and forth to the barn in every 4 hours. ;o) I thought our 2 billies were going to kill each other as Caspian and Stanley are now rooming together and spent at least the 2 hours I was at the barn fighting. When I went home at lunch to feed Caspian must have crowned himself victorious as he was eating at the trough and poor Stanley was laid up by the door.

On another note.... I picked Alex up from school and he had a smiley face all day until the end and then kicked some kid so he lost it to a straight face. Oh, well. Could've been worse I guess.

March 3, 2008 A good start!

Today Alex got a smiley face for the day. Let's hope he can keep it up for the rest of the week.

March 2, 2008 Babies!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whoohooo! Flower had two little one's this morning. She had no problems and both kids are doing great. Both were little girls. Yippeee, that means we get to keep them!! They each weigh about 3 lbs each. Now we've just got 2 more girls due in the next couple of weeks. I can't wait!

March 1, 2008 Boat safely home.

This morning we got up and were out of the house by 7am to make the 3 hour treck to London to get our new toy. We made really good time getting there. They took the paperwork and transferred it to us while we were there. Nerves were running high due to the episode getting the camper home last year. The last thing we wanted was a repeat. I had never seen the boat in person and did not realize just how much bigger it was than our other one. So I took a pic when we got home with it hooked up to the trailblazer just to give it something to compare to. I had the calendar out on the way home trying to pick a weekend for our first trip out. We can't wait!!

February 29, 2008 Leap Day

Sorry no pic for today. It's been crazy with Michael working dayshift and O.T. Alex spent the day with Grandpa Ed and Grandma Charlotte. I should have sent the camera with them. :o) I got a hair cut and highlight then rushed home only to leave again for Bunco. Tomorrow is a big day, we are going to get the boat. Wish us luck for a safe trip home.
